The fact is that now many bands actually approach Activision and MTV to be in the games Guitar Hero and Rock Band but there was a time in which they had to go around begging bands to allow them to use the songs in the games themselves. This is more so for Guitar Hero when they were looking to release the first game as artists did not feel comfortable handing over master recordings to a company on the outside. on the plus side, bands allowed them to record covers for the game. After observing some bands both past and present it is clear that some of them really do love to throw their money away.. Is this for effect for the fans, a crowd pleaser or literally because they earn so much money they can do what they want, when they want to.
Musical instruments really do not come cheap no matter which one you play and if you are seeking out the best of the best it is going to cost you a small fortune everytime you have to go out and buy a new one. Read the rest of this entry »

Whenever you see newish bands that haven’t quite got to the top of the charts yet you will almost always spot a small van outside of the gig that will contain both the band and all of their equipment. if you think about it, how important is the van to the bands?
Vans are both affordable and cheap to run which is why many bands will often think back to the days in which the van was their best friend over the pet dog. Read the rest of this entry »
