1916 saw the year in which the tank was first seen and the British were trying to use it to stop the deadlock that trench warfare had brought. The word tank actually comes from the British as when the tank was in development they lied and said that they were water tanks to transport water.

WW1 is when the first tank entered the battlefield which is why the article is going to start there too.

The first tank known simply as the Mark I Tank or “Mother” was designed by William Ashbee Tritton and Walter Gordon Wilson.It was several tanks later when we saw the D1 which was the first to enter a battle. The battle of Flers-Courcellette was actually the first time but most famously it was used in the Somme.

The problem with the tanks in WW1 is that they were just not suitable for the muddy conditions of the trenches. The main issue with the tanks was actually that they were always getting stuck in the middle of a battle. The Germans actually only managed to make around 15 tanks during the course of the entire War and tanks from opposite sides did not meet until 1918. Although the British came out on top in this case it is clear that both of the sides had some serious problems.

So although none of these tanks had mil spec cables within them they still proved to be feared in the battlefield and without a doubt they at least made a small impact on the war effort.

Well I had dropped the iPhone onto the floor then was called upstairs for a meeting. Once the meeting had finished I had forgotten about dropping the phone so i got on my chair and slid across the room to my desk. After feeling a small bump I went on thinking it was the floor. I wasnt in luck as it wasnt the floor.

Once I had remembered the phone was missing I went looking for it to discover it being on the floor and after inspecting it I thought everything was okay until I turned it over. The part where you insert the charger has been cracked so at the moment there is no way I can charge the phone in any way. Another problem is that I had no way of getting a new one because I didn’t have iPhone insurance.

Because I have had the iPhone for such a long time I think it would be very hard for me to get another phone and get along with it in the same way. I am going to have to go out and spend a lot of money to get another one. Perhaps because I am on contract they will give me a bit of a discount but I can’t see much sympathy coming from them when I haven’t for any insurance of any kind, even that gadget insurance would have sorted me out.

I am now going to go out and get I-pod insurance as there is no way I am ever taking this kind of risk again. It really is impossible to replace all of the things I have broken in the recent times.
